Terms & Conditions

Fall 2023 Group Coaching Cohort

Facilitated by Meredith Bell Coaching

Program components
Participants will receive access to:

One 30-minute 1:1 coaching session
Seven 75-minute group sessions
Access to online resource library
Text/email support between sessions (unlimited so long as it's not abused)
Optionally, four 1-hour 1:1 coaching sessions (for an additional fee)

1-3 participants will receive coaching per group session. While efforts will be made to offer coaching to all participants on a roughly equal basis, this program does not guarantees the amount of time any one participant will be coached.

Dates and duration
Group sessions run for 75 minutes at 5:30 PT / 8:30 ET on the following dates: September 5, 19; October 10, 24; November 7, 21; December 5, 2023.

Individual sessions may be completed from any time after program payment is received until December 31, 2023. Individual sessions not completed by this time will expire unless agreed upon in advance between the coach and the participant.

If a participant needs to miss a session, no makeups will be offered. If the coach needs to miss a session (for example due to illness or emergency), she will offer a makeup date for the group at a similar time and/or short 1:1 sessions.

Price
The program is offered on a sliding scale ranging from $350-$750, with an option to add four 1-hour one-on-one coaching sessions for an additional $350-$750. Details of the sliding scale philosophy may be found on the main Group Coaching page of meredithbellcoaching.com. On an honor system, participants agree to choose a rate that is authentic to their financial situation.

Payment
Participants will be invoiced via email upon submission of online registration form. Payment is due in full before the first day of the program via credit card, ACH/bank transfer, or personal check using the instructions provided in the invoice.

Cancellation and refund policy
In the event that the group program needs to be cancelled, refunds will be issued on a pro rated based on the number of group sessions completed. In the event that the group program is cancelled and the participant does not wish to complete 1:1 sessions (if purchased), those too will be refunded on a pro rated basis based on the number of 1:1 sessions completed.

Should a participant wish to cancel their participation in the group program (and 1:1 coaching, if purchased), 50% of payment made will be refunded up to a week before the start, and 25% up to the start of the program. No refunds will be offered after the start of the program.

Intellectual property
Participants will be offered access to an online resource library on meredithbellcoaching.com. Participants may print, download, and store materials from the website resource library provided that:

It is used solely for the participant’s personal, non-commercial use
Participant will not copy, transmit or distribute them without Coach’s prior written approval

Confidentiality
The details of coaching conversations are entirely confidential. By participating in group coaching sessions, participants agree not to share details about other participants or specifics about their coaching topics outside of the program.

The coach does not disclose client or participant names to any individuals. For purposes of ongoing professional education and certification, she will track and may submit a list of clients (name, contact information, payment arrangement, and hours coached) to the International Coach Federation (ICF) and potentially to additional professional coaching associations and/or continuing education programs. This information is treated confidentially by these organizations.

Disclaimer and Release of Liability
This Agreement is entered into by and between coach Meredith Bell (henceforth referred to as The Coach) and the client enrolled in the group coaching program (henceforth referred to as The Participant).

The service to be provided by the Coach to the Participant is coaching. Coaching, which is not advice, therapy, or counseling, may address specific personal projects, relationships, communication, or general conditions in the Participant’s life.

Participant understands that coaching is, at present, an unregulated industry and that The Coach is not licensed by the State of California or any other state. The Participant also understands that for all legal purposes, the services provided by The Coach will be considered to be provided in the State of California.

Participant is solely responsible for creating and implementing his/her own physical, mental and emotional well-being, decisions, choices, actions and results arising out of or resulting from the coaching relationship and his/her coaching calls and interactions with the Coach. As such, the Participant agrees that the Coach is not and will not be liable or responsible for any actions or inaction, or for any direct or indirect result of any services provided by the Coach. Participant understands coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.

Participant acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals and that it is the Participant's exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed. If Participant is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Participant promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Participant and the Coach.

Except as expressly provided in this Agreement, the Coach makes no guarantees, representations or warranties of any kind or nature, express or implied with respect to the coaching services negotiated, agreed upon and rendered. In no event shall the Coach be liable to the Participant for any indirect, consequential or special damages. Notwithstanding any damages that the Participant may incur, the Coach’s entire liability under this Agreement, and the Participant's exclusive remedy, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the Participant to the Coach under this Agreement for all coaching services rendered through and including the termination date.

The Coach agrees not to disclose any information pertaining to the Participant without the Client’s written consent. However, Confidential Information does not include information that: (a) the Coach is required by statute, lawfully issued subpoena, or by court order to disclose; (b) is disclosed to the Coach and as a result of such disclosure the Coach reasonably believes there to be an imminent or likely risk of danger or harm to the Participant or others; and (c) involves illegal activity.
